Lucy and I never grew tired last night of supposing what life was like for this lovey-dovey “dreadlock rasta” (our christening) couple. And that was well before the dude strung up this rope and started doing crazy balancing stuff, attracting a crowd so his woman could hawk her knitted wares and jewelry. Completely mesmerizing.

fyi, that's called "slack-lining," a popular rest-day activity amongst rock climbers because they usually have the webbing and carabiners handy to set a slack-line up.
Good story: When we were in college, I lived with 3 amazing rock climbers, who also had fetishes for slack-lining, unicycling, and juggling. We had a 4 foot high, 25 foot long slack-line permanently rigged in our backyard. One night, the drunk redneck kids from next door started trying to play on the slack line. Slack-lining is not easy on your first try, but add to it a case of beer, and it's impossible. So we were enjoying watching their foibles from the window upstairs, when I hear one say, "Man! That thang is impossible!" and another responded (slurring, in thick Ky accent), "I bet JeanClaudeVanDamm could do it! He's a BadAss."
So there's a little inside joke/quote for you from the archives of Ben and Alyssum.
